Hello Park View.
Welcome to the unveiling of our wild London fox mural.
On enrichment day students from years 7, 8, 9 and 10 all participated. We used a variety of stencils, paint, paint brushes, sponges and even our own paint covered hands.
Each year group took turns layering over the previous year's paintings, to create a beautiful array of colourful animals and plants, and key places. We included animals big and small, from Tottenham's diverse community.
This was a shared canvas. Where our ideas and personalities were shown together as a community. We included lots of different species of animals from London, ranging from creepy crawlies to animals of the night. No species was excluded! Thank you to the students of Park View for contributing to the mural.
Everyone had lots of fun and enjoyed painting this mural together. We all had freedom to express ourselves and our culture. We were all very inspired to work beside street artist James Straffon, known for his large murals of endangered animals. His art recently on BBC one's Wild London. We hope this will inspire future generations to protect our precious wild life.
As students we can all relate to the playful nature of fox cubs, as is shown in the mural. Thank you so much for listening. And of course a special thanks to James Straffon for working with us on this mural. We appreciate how kind you were to all the students, we thank you for this opportunity.
